This time last year, I was in debt up to my eyeballs and nowhere to turn. I was alone and felt the same way I did back before I filed for bankruptcy, just trying to keep up.

Something amazing happened last week. First of all, without my knowledge, my employer was receiving resumes for my job. The only reason I found out about it was the fact that one of the people who he was about to interview had called me and asked me what my job was like. I was in a state of shock and when I asked him about it, he admitted that he had and that my job was about to be terminated in a few months. I think it had more to do with his new assistant who had been trying to get rid of me since day one (while my self esteem is high, hers is so rock bottom that it is scary). I was not surprised in the least bit. Me and this new man were not getting along well as he could not trust me and I could not trust him and I was sick and tired of all of the talking and smart remarks that were made behind my back.

Well, the next thing I was concerned about besides trying to find another place of employment was finding out how I was going to pay all of my bills when my position was terminated. Thanks to the Lord above who has helped me get through so many rough times, I was able to have most of my debts paid off in full.

Due to my poor credit, I never though I would be able to get a debt consolidation loan. But I was approved for one which paid off most of my debts! Two payday loans were paid for. All of my credit cards were paid off.  Nagging personal loans were paid off. What a blessing!

And what was best? The debt consolidation loan was a lower payment than most of my loans. Amazing. Just amazing. The lady who granted me the loan said it was because in the past year, my credit score had improved tremendously because I was making payments on my credit cards and loans.  See, it is possible to file bankruptcy and years later, obtain a loan.

See what my boss and his stooge thought was going to be a curse ended up being a blessing. Now, I just have to find another job. Things are finally looking up in my life.  However, the two payday loans that I had paid off were not so happy with me. Their best customer was gone. No more paying finance charges. No more chats about wanting an increase.  The personal loan companies can’t come in and take my property.  This is a happy day for me because I am finally working on being free.
